Who we are
This website belongs to Capítulo, the café, wine bar and tapas room at Casa Roca, Carrer dels Hostals 27, 07002 Palma. The data controller is Espais Roca SL (B57996704), Llotgeta 4, Palma 07002, Illes Balears, Spain. You can reach us about anything on this page at salut@capitulopalma.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us, plus a little technical information about your visit.
- Private events enquiries: first and last name, company name if you give one, email address, telephone number and the country it belongs to, the type of event, and your message.
- Wine Pass sign-up: name, mobile number, email address and date of birth.
- Newsletter: your email address, collected by JotForm.
- Table bookings: handled by resOS, under their own privacy policy.
- Automatically: your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit, through our hosting and website statistics.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your details to answer your enquiry, arrange your event, issue your Wine Pass and send the newsletter if you asked for it. Answering an enquiry and arranging an event is performance of a contract or our legitimate interest in replying to you. The Wine Pass and the newsletter rest on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the providers who run parts of this service for us:
- resOS, for table bookings made through the “Reserve a table” link.
- Square, which holds the Wine Pass and loyalty records.
- JotForm, which runs the newsletter sign-up form in our footer.
- Zapier, which passes form entries between those systems.
- Automattic (WordPress.com and Pressable), which hosts this website, and Akismet, which screens form submissions for spam.
Transfers outside the EEA
Some of those providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Wine Pass and newsletter records are kept until you ask us to remove them or unsubscribe. Website statistics are kept in aggregate form.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Spanish data protection law (LOPD-GDD) you have the right to:
- Access, to ask what we hold about you.
- Rectification, to correct it.
- Erasure, to have it deleted where no legal duty requires us to keep it.
- Objection or restriction of processing.
- Portability, to receive it in a machine-readable format.
- To withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter.

Cookies
This site sets the cookies it needs to work, plus cookies used to measure traffic. Our forms are screened for spam by Akismet, and the newsletter form is served by JotForm, which sets its own cookies.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we require the same of the providers who process it for us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date below.
